My embodiment of the Franklin Method has taught me a way of learning about my body through the
experience of being in my body.
Knowledge left in the head is incomplete. It is only when it is experienced that it has meaning.
The Franklin Method teaches anatomy and biomechanics through kinesthesia (physical awareness of
the body). The use of imagery greatly enhances this kinesthetic experience. When one combines
the knowledge of function with images that excite the senses, the body can rapidly learn a new
way of living. It can find a place where life can be enjoyed free of tension and with stronger
capabilities.
Using the Franklin Method as a means of educating you about your human function, through
imaging and experiencing, will bring you to a freer level of moving, breathing, and enjoyment
of living inside your body.
I was introduced to the work of Eric Franklin via his book Dynamic Alignment through Imagery.
I enrolled in a weekend workshop, "Pelvic Power" in 2004. After this exposure to such amazing work
I enrolled in the teacher training course. In 2005, I graduated as a Franklin Method Educator (FME)
Level I. In 2006, I obtained my Level II. I will be enrolled in Level III, as soon as it is
scheduled. I am always impressed with the level of knowledge that Eric possesses. His method of
bringing that knowledge into the experiential level is unique and astoundingly creative. He is
one of the most inspiring and authentic teachers with whom I have studied.
